As a regulated financial institution, we are often required to verify our customer’s source of funds and ownership of assets to comply with customer due diligence laws and regulations and keep our platform secure.
A source of funds document should show the origin of assets used in a specific transaction between you and CoinList (e.g. bank statement or screenshot of your wallet/exchange account that shows your name and the deposit address generated by CoinList).

Provided documentation should comply with the following requirements:
Must be in one of the following formats - jpg, jpeg or PDF
Your name, date of the statement, and dates of transactions should be clearly visible
All transaction details should be clear and legible
While you may cover sensitive information*, the inbound transactions (your income) and the outbound transactions (your deposits to CoinList) need to be visible.
Bank statements, payslips, and other documents must be relevant to the time period in question and should also reflect your most recent balances. Your name should be clearly visible on documents along with amounts and dates.
Examples of acceptable source of funds documents are as follows:
- In cases of large crypto deposits, we require proof of ownership. Provide a screenshot of your wallet/exchange account that shows your name and the deposit address generated by CoinList
Salary: recent payslip from your employer (and/or a tax statement) AND a bank statement showing your recent account balances.
Sale of property: copy of a contract of sale or a letter from a real estate agent or a lawyer confirming the sale of a property) AND a bank statement that displays the proceeds of the sale being deposited.
Investments: investment statement(s) OR letter from a financial advisor detailing the nature of the investment AND a bank statement that displays the proceeds of the investment being deposited.
Savings: bank statement reflecting that the savings are more than or equal to the amount being deposited. The statement period should cover at least three months.
Loan: loan agreement AND a bank statement that displays the loan being deposited.
Inheritance: copy of a testament (or a letter from the executor of the will or lawyer) AND a bank statement that displays the proceeds of the inheritance being deposited.
Other: other official documentation evidencing the source of wealth and funds. Your name should be clearly visible on the documents along with amounts and dates. The amounts in question should support your financial activity with CoinList.
In some cases, we may need to suspend certain operations of your account until sufficient information is collected.
